Tyson to pay $48,000 for no Show in Boxing Gala

Tomasz Babilonski, The Polish organizer of the boxing gala sued Mike Gerard "Mike" Tyson after his manager refused to talk about the compensation. Mike Tyson, The Former Heavyweight Champion did not showed up to the boxing gala last year.


The court in Poland released an order that required Mike Tyson to pay a $48,000 worth of compensation and interest and could be executed through European Union Regulation on British Territory as Judge Igor Tuleya, a spokesman for the Regional Court in Warsaw, told The Associated Press on Friday.

Mike Tyson  was a native born from Brooklyn, New York and was one of the great boxer in his time but a controversy put him in conviction when he raped a 18-year old, Diana Washington and had been trial in the court of Indianapolis where he raped the girl in a hotel and he was sentenced to 6 years of prisons but had been released after 3 years of service. After the incident he had his game back to the arena and made a few fights before he retired last year 2006. The boxer is well-known for his controversial behavior inside and outside the ring but despite that he had been place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame and in the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
